History

Since its founding in 1924 by D. Angel Armada Armada, we have serviced all types of vessels, ranging from wooden ships in the 20´s and 30´s to the construction of modern fishing and freezer ships, such as the ALMA LUSA which is the largest Portuguese freezer long liner vessel or our latest construction, the ZUMAIA SEVENTH, a multi-purpose deep sea towing vessel.

Our Yachts division has produced some very unique projects, such as the restoration of the British schooner MARIA SONIA, the repair of the training ship CERVANTES SAAVEDRA and the construction of the WOR class 60, GALICIA 93 - PESCANOVA used by the Spanish sailing team in the Round the World sailing competition; which required complex construction methods that are at the forefront of modern technology.

In summary, almost a century of activity, 87 years in total, have been dedicated to shipbuilding and repair.
